• Prepare and study the company-provided teaching materials before the lesson starts

> How long is each class?
▪ Each class is 25 minutes long.
> How does it work? Do I need to do a lesson plan?
▪ Our platform is like a booking engine. Students pick their teacher and the lesson. Teachers who get booked for a lesson should prepare based on the lesson and level of students using the company-provided teaching materials. Use of teaching aids such as pictures, realia, or educational toys would be helpful in every lesson.
> Are there trainings for home-based online English teachers?
▪ Yes, we’re continuously conducting free online trainings for our teachers. 51Talk also runs onsite trainings in our training centers (Bacolod, Baguio, Cebu, Davao and Pasig) regularly. For candidates or teachers close to these centers, they are encouraged to attend LIVE trainings.
> How much can I earn?
▪ Earnings are based on the number of successfully conducted lessons and performance. The more slots the teacher opens, the more chances of getting booked. The better the teacher performs every lesson, the more bookings he/she will have. Teachers are expected to teach during the evening and weekend peak hours. Our top performing teachers earn as much as PHP 80,000 per month.
